Hey New Yorker friends, please check out this store. The owner of Yu & Me Books credits watching Hack My Home Netflix for helping her rebuild her bookstore when it was totaled in a fire.
"After long days spent doing store inspections and talking to other entrepreneurs in Chinatown who had dealt with fires, she would return to her one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment, which was filled with mismatched furniture, books and records, and binge-watch home-improvement TV shows like “Hack My Home”."

“Bidding for authentic, creative integration for already popular shows becomes as expensive or more expensive for brands than just financing an original show on their own to connect with a viewer on their own terms. “In 2019, Hasbro Studios bought eOne Films so that it could sustain, if not build, its merchandise lines such as G.I. Joe, Transformers and Battleship into an ever-growing cinematic universe spanning TV and film. Mattel, too, is driving adaptations of its top franchises, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Magic 8-Ball. Most major sports leagues now see NFTs and sports betting as the key to their growth, while casinos are building out and acquiring lifestyle content publishing businesses. Marvel Studios and DC haven’t been comic book-first companies for nearly thirty years.”
