Just shot another surprise engagement that was insanely fun! A little peak at the lengths I go to for my clients. Making sure I capture what they dream up is vitally important to me. While I edit those photos, I am taking some time to visit my oldest son, daughter in law, and grandson in Seattle. The little guy wanted to take me swimming. With Mr Rainer in the background, I couldn’t say no. Stay tuned for those engagement photos. They are great. Until then, a little me time with my grandson.
I have always hated having my picture taken. Awkward school portraits. Candid shots I never asked for. The stiff, four smile that never quite looked like me. I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the lens and that changes everything about how I work. My goal is simple: I want your experience with me to be fun, enjoyable, and memorable. Because the best images come from the moments you actually felt like yourself.
Surprise engagements are beginning to be my thing. lol.

Just finished a shoot with a longtime client. The last time I shot this family, the daughter was very young. Tonight, she told me that I feel like part of their family. That made me smile. At the end of the shoot, she gave me this picture. This is more valuable than money or anything else clients can do. She drew a picture of me and her and I’m going to frame this.
