What an incredible way to wrap up an amazing week of Camp Catalyst VBS!

Today we learned that Jesus brings us together. Through our Bible story, activities, crafts, games, music, and time spent with one another, we were reminded that God never intended for us to do life alone. We are created to live in community, to encourage one another, to serve one another, and to grow in faith together.

As we close out this year’s VBS, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. We witnessed so many beautiful moments of faith, kindness, friendship, laughter, and growth throughout the week. From the excitement of the first day to the hugs and smiles of today, God was at work in countless ways among our children, volunteers, and families.

While it’s hard to say goodbye to such a special week, we know the impact of these days will continue long after Camp Catalyst has ended. The lessons learned, friendships formed, and memories made will last a lifetime. Thank you to every volunteer, parent, and child who made this week so meaningful. We are blessed beyond measure and already looking forward to what God has in store for next year!

Day 4 of Camp Catalyst was all about CHANGE!

Today we learned that Jesus brings change. Our Bible story from Acts 9 taught us about Saul’s incredible transformation into Paul and reminded us that Jesus has the power to change hearts, lives, and futures. As we explored 2 Corinthians 5:17, we discovered that “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” Jesus loves us exactly as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us the same. Through His love and grace, He continues to shape us into who He created us to be.

Our campers had an amazing day filled with creativity, laughter, and fun! They crafted adorable clay animal keychains, created beautiful butterflies as reminders of transformation, made bird feeders for our feathered friends, and enjoyed exciting games of Floor is Lava and Water Balloon Volley. Of course, there were also some delicious camp-themed snacks to keep everyone fueled for the fun.

The kids were incredible, the volunteers were spectacular, and the joy was contagious from beginning to end. Every day at Camp Catalyst we see Jesus at work, and today was a beautiful reminder that He is still changing lives.

We can’t wait for our final day together as we celebrate how Jesus brings us together!

Day 3 of Camp Catalyst was all about LOVE — the incredible love Jesus has for us and the love He calls us to share with one another.

Our campers had a blast playing an egg toss challenge, working together to keep their eggs safe as they were launched farther and farther across the yard! In crafts, our older kids made Verselets — bracelets designed to help them remember today’s Bible verse and carry God’s Word with them throughout the week. Our younger campers created edible bracelets made with heart-shaped candy, and they were a huge hit!

The kids also created beautiful “Jesus Loves You” coasters that will be shared with friends in local nursing homes, spreading joy and reminding others that they are deeply loved. During storytelling, a mystery object transformed into a fun animal sponge, helping the kids see how the love of Jesus transforms us from the inside out.

The fun continued with homemade apple pie in a cup for snack, and our opening and closing celebrations were filled with energetic dancing, joyful singing, and beautiful music. It was another incredible day of learning, laughter, friendship, and faith.

We are so thankful for every child, volunteer, and family who makes Camp Catalyst such a special place. Day 3 was overflowing with love, and we are so blessed to spend this week growing together and discovering how Jesus brings change to our lives and our world! ❤️

Today’s theme was Jesus Brings Peace, and our campers had an amazing day discovering how the peace of Jesus can calm our hearts and flow through us into the world around us. From exciting water balloon games to learning new dance moves during opening and closing, the energy and joy were contagious!

The kids created rain sticks and worked together on a beautiful collaborative art piece inspired and designed by Lee Ann Goerss, reminding us that God’s peace is something we are called to share. They also painted “Jesus Rocks” to place throughout our community as small reminders of God’s love and peace. Of course, no camp day would be complete without a fun snack—today’s dirt and worms was a crowd favorite!

A special shoutout to our incredible team of 100+ volunteers who continue to pour their hearts into this ministry. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication are helping our children experience firsthand that Jesus brings change. Thank you for making Camp Catalyst such a meaningful and memorable week. We are having an absolute blast and can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

What an incredible start to VBS 2026! Day 1 was all about Jesus Brings Hope, and what a joyful day it was!

Our campers had an absolute blast creating their camp t-shirts, cooling off with exciting water games, and enjoying delicious s’mores stick snacks. They also put their creativity and faith into action by making beautiful hope pins to share with members of our community who may need a reminder that they are loved and that Jesus is their hope.

Throughout the day, we learned that Jesus is the catalyst for change in our lives and in our world. No matter what challenges we face, we can trust that He is with us, guiding us, strengthening us, and filling us with hope. Seeing these children laugh, learn, serve, and grow together was a wonderful reminder of God’s goodness.

We can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of the week at Camp Catalyst!
