r/GreatLakesFlyTying This is a space for Great Lakes fly dressers , tying for all species of fish in the Great Lakes region.

It’s been hot and humid here in Western New York. Last night was an amazingly cool evening. These kind of nights instantly get me thinking of steelhead season, it’s also getting me super excited for my live series to begin! I usually try to stay out of the tying studio this time of year due to the heat in my none air conditioned shop. Fans are loud and obnoxious and I end up looking like I’ve been tarred and feathered by an entire disco.😜 can’t wait to get the fall run started and show you all the exciting things I’ve been creating!

Getting excited to start these live sessions setup and programing dial, audio dialed. Not excited about no AC in the fly tying studio. Once this “heatwave” aka:July has passed I’ll get streaming. Im hopefull by mid August the evenings will start to cool down 🤞

Just dialed in the audio portion of this whole project. Now to do some cable management, tighten up a few loose programing ends and make some videos! Then, I go live in August!

Moves for the 10years anniversary of Guide Fly Company are happening all the time at this point. Im proud to announce that the digitization of the fly tying studio is complete! Lots of hard work and funds have been dumped into making this happen. I’d like to thank those who were a big big help in getting this accomplished, shoutout Brian G. & Sir. White. Thank you very much, you both are amazing!
