As a Veteran of a foreign war, and someone's who's lost close friends in combat. I'd like to reach out this Memorial Day weekend and ask everyone to take a step back at some point and remember those who placed their lives on the line, for the freedoms we sometimes take for granted today. At the end of the day, freedom is never free, and all veterans gave some, but some veterans gave all.

A huge thanks to Councilman Joel Feroleto for bringing before the common council today our 6% Service Disabled Veteran Legislation initiative. And another huge thanks to the almost 20 veterans who showed up to support it.
