SBWorkersUnited
We're a worker-led union of 12,000 Starbucks partners across 650 stores. Change is brewing, and we're organizing for a better workplace for all!
PARTNERS: Ready to organize with us, or have questions about our union? Visit https://bit.ly/m/SBWU
it would cost less than 1 day’s sales to secure union contracts with better pay, hours, and protections for 1000s of baristas btw.
Starbucks union-busts because they know when we take action, we have actual power to make our jobs better.
When partners in Roswell, Georgia filed for a union election, corporate panicked and immediately gave workers more hours... even though staffing requests had been ignored for months. Bad scheduling isn’t a unique problem; baristas have been loud about needing more hours to pay bills and access the benefits Starbucks advertises. Customers constantly notice the long wait times getting worse, too. Workers and customers want the same thing!
Corporate will never change out of the goodness of their hearts. It’ll take all of us as workers standing up and saying the rollback of hours and benefits must end NOW.

When both Democrats AND Republicans think Starbucks's union-busting is out of line...
Companies like Starbucks shouldn't be allowed to get away with repeated federal complaints over refusing to negotiate with workers.
House approves bill to speed up union contract negotiations The House has approved a bill to slash the time it takes for newly unionized workers to get a first contract. The measure allows for government intervention if a deal is not reached within 90 days.
Starbucks: Invest in your baristas instead of AI slop nobody asked for. It’s time to stop union-busting and settle a damn contract!
What’s your biggest Starbucks misconception? Cienna, a barista whose store just won the 700th Starbucks union election, talks about how organizing is empowering workers to make their jobs better 💪
Starbucks says they support q***r and trans workers by offering gender-affirming care and Pride flags in all stores. But the real truth? They're not doing enough by US, their workers... especially at a time when we're not getting fair pay or the hours we need to even qualify for healthcare.
When we add democracy to our workplace, we can push back against profits-over-people decisions - just like when our union fought a ban on Pride decorations in 2023. We also won improvements in expanded parental leave, credit card tipping, and more. We fight for EVERYONE in our union, and we've still got even more to win.
Congratulations to the Brookline Village partners who are forming their union to fight alongside 12,000+ union Starbucks baristas!
When Starbucks management, HR, and corporate all won’t listen to us, taking action as a union is the only way to get the changes we need. Starbucks has one of the highest CEO-to-worker pay gaps in the entire country, and we’re seeing them pour money into executive bonuses, private jets, and influencer PR instead of taking care of their workers.
It would cost Starbucks LESS THAN ONE DAY’S SALES to finalize a fair union contract and fix all of the problems baristas address in this video. Until things move at the bargaining table, we’ll keep taking actions and escalating until Starbucks does the right thing!
Starbucks has an opportunity to do the right thing as they call Nashville their home: settle a fair union contract and end the union-busting! Thank you to members of the Nashville Metro Council like for standing with the working class!

Union baristas have been busy. Here’s a recap about what’s been happening over the last couple weeks:
- Partners won the 700th union election (and then some!)… congratulations to partners in Alabama, Illinois, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and New York!
- As Starbucks opens up new corporate offices in Nashville, TN, workers organized to let the company know Nashville is a union town! We rallied with members of the city’s metro council and community leaders. If Starbucks is going to call Nashville home, they need to follow labor law and stop union-busting.
- According to recent reports, United Nations human rights experts sent a letter to Starbucks and the US government, asking them to address questions about incidents where the company called the police on baristas and harassed workers who were participating in federally protected protests.
- In Evanston, IL, Mayor Daniel Bliss joined Starbucks workers to call on the company to comply with the city’s Fair Work Week laws and finalize fair union contracts. Mayor Bliss told reporters the city has heard credible allegations of law violations by Starbucks.
- Allies, customers, and baristas took to the streets over the weekend for a Community Day of Action! Nationwide, allies spoke with Starbucks customers and shared our union’s fight to get the company to bargain in good faith. Many were surprised that it would cost Starbucks LESS THAN ONE DAY’S SALES to finalize fair union contracts for over 12,000 baristas. Thank you to everyone that joined us!
REMEMBER: DON’T BUY STARBUCKS until the company finalizes those union contracts! No contract, no coffee!
