Grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many inspiring individuals at the Neurodiversity Network of WNY conference! I was spontaneously asked to facilitate a mini BrainDance dance break, so much fun 🥳 Please check out and support this organization!

Thank you to Lackawanna Public Library for closing out my Summer Reading library tour strong 🥳🎪 I still can’t believe I did 35 library programs this summer 🤯 So grateful to have the opportunity to share accessible movement with communities across WNY and CNY! Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a Zoom chat with an inspiration of mine, Donna Newman-Bluestein of Dance for Connection. Donna invented the Octaband, an accessible movement prop that I’ve loved using in my programs. She does a lot of other wonderful work including facilitating dance with Alzheimer’s patients, training teachers in accessibility, and advocacy for the field of dance/movement therapy. I’ll share more info in the comments if you’d like to explore her work and check out the Octaband!

I am thankful for this opportunity that came as part of my field work through the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable Mentorship Program. I’ll share more about that soon 🧠
