This Haitian Heritage Month. And especially on Haitian Flag Day. We honor the courage, unity, and labor that brought the flag to life.🇭🇹

Catherine Flon sewed the first flag by hand. Her work showed strength and purpose. That same spirit lives on in the efforts of Haitian workers today. Their history is stitched with resistance. It is built on resilience and the fight for

dignity.

The flag was not just made. It was earned through sweat, struggle, and a vision for freedom. Today, that same spirit drives the fight for safe workplaces. It pushes for fair wages and respect on the job.

To honor Haitian heritage is to stand up for workers' rights.🇭🇹🇭🇹

Today we honor the nurses who show up every day with care, courage, and commitment to others. Your work keeps our communities safe, healthy, and strong. We also want to give a special thank you to the nurses who are and were part of our WNYCOSH family—serving on our board of directors and supporting worker trainings. Your leadership makes a real difference.
Hoy honramos a las enfermeras y enfermeros que cada día trabajan con cuidado, valentía y compromiso hacia los demás. Su labor mantiene a nuestras comunidades seguras, saludables y fuertes. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today we celebrate the rich heritage and resilience of our Mexican community and all the Hispanic communities in general, honoring the deep cultural roots that strengthen Buffalo and the entire West of New York. At WNYCOSH, we see this date as a reminder that our unity is our greatest strength, both in the community and in the workplace. By celebrating culture and history, we reaffirm our commitment to ensure that every worker is treated with the respect, dignity and justice they deserve.
