On December 20, 2019, a car crash victim was rear-ended by an SUV while stopped for a school bus on Main Street near its intersection with Kraus Road in Clarence, New York. Only 56-years-old at the time, the victim suffered spinal disc injuries to his neck and back, which required conservative treatment. The victim retained Connors LLP to fight for a fair outcome. After nearly six years of hard work searching for, interviewing, and deposing witnesses, obtaining and reviewing key records, inspecting the cars, and consulting with medical experts, the case approached a jury trial. Three days before jury selection, the insurance company offered only $25,000 to settle the victim’s case. On November 10, 2025, at the end of a two and one-half week jury trial, Connors LLP Partners Nicholas A. Romano, Esq., and Joseph D. Morath, Jr., obtained a settlement of $950,000 for the victim’s past and future pain and suffering and economic loss – nearly 38 times what the insurance company offered.
