This is what I ate today as a 6 year Carnivore Nutritionist that lost 40lbs.
What I need is not necessarily what you need. My goals are different than yours.
Today I ate 3 meals because I was hungry with my goals of putting on muscle. I had 6 eggs for breakfast, and a 9oz burger with some kefir and parmesan cheese. Lunch was a can of sardines with 5 eggs and a burger. Then my linner- late afternoon lunch -was local caught seabass, a burger and 4 more eggs.
I know people will ask so I was at about 250grams of protein today. The key here is to learn how much you need and what you need for the season you are in. We are not the same.

Once you prioritize true nourishment and not restriction, you can balance your hormones like insulin and leptin which allow you to burn fat. A Carnivore diet is the ultimate way to nourish your body.
If you consistently give yourself less fuel, you’re not going to be able to have the health that you want. When you’re worried about counting calories and not about how it affects the body that’s a recipe for problems.
We need to address the hormone response to the food we eat. Calories measure energy but they don’t tell your body what to do with that energy. Burn it or store it. Thats the hormones job.
Counting calories can be a temporary and quick fix but doesn’t address the root cause so that’s why you gain it back.
If you are attempting to boil water on the stove, you put the flame on high to get it to boil. If you tried to boil water with a low flame, the water will not boil because you gave it less energy to do so. This is like eating less calories. It’s less fuel. It lowers the metabolism.
Hormones run the body not calories. If insulin is high, it doesn’t allow you to access body fat as fuel. When you have low insulin, you are able to tap into body fat while preserving muscle.

How calories actually work for fat loss…
Less in =less out
Body fat is the life support to the body and essential so it wants to keep it at all costs. It is there for times of famine to keep you alive. Unfortunately, constant access to food and junk has left people sick, overweight and ruined true hunger signals. But feeding it less to lose fat is not the answer.
If you put less gas in your tank, you won’t go as far. The body is not going to fire on all systems if it starts getting less fuel. It adapts very quickly to you feeding it less. When you put less in, you get less out aka you lower the metabolism. Your hunger will eventually override your willpower as well.
I work with clients to prioritize nourishment not restriction and address the root cause of the body storing fat which is hormonal. If we lower insulin, the body is able to access body fat to burn it. When it is too high, it blocks fat burning. Other hormones like cortisol, leptin and melatonin all work with insulin and need to be balanced as well.
The body you want doesn’t come from restriction it comes from nourishment with the proper inputs. I know how the body works optimally and now I share that with my clients. It’s a whole body approach to optimal health and rarely a single solution.

What you see is the before and after change. Not the day to day fluctuations. I had great results switching to a carnivore diet but it wasn’t always linear in terms of seeing success. There are stalls and people that get in your head to count calories or do a protein sparing modified fast or any other trend.
I didn’t use a calorie deficit for fat loss and I don’t recommend clients do that either. Once you learn how all the hormones should work together, you figure it out. When you put less in, you get less out aka you lower the metabolism.
Those are the things that got in my way. The noise of do what others do. I had to learn how the body worked optimally and now I share that with clients. Nourishing my body properly without restriction consistently is what got me to my goals. It’s a whole body approach to optimal health and rarely a single solution.
Also, I had so much improve that has nothing to do with calories. The results you don’t see here are:
-my high blood pressure normalize
-my cystic acne go away
-autoimmunity issues resolve
-gut issues like bloating and ibs disappear
-hair loss stop,
-improved mental clarity
-melasma disappear,
-PCOS resolve
-deeper sleep and better energy

- Body composition changes
- metabolic health
- hydration and inflammation status
- Self worth
Stop getting on the scale and making your self feel bad. Especially if you are seeing other positive improvements like sleep, better moods, digestion, and energy levels.
You can weigh more and look different when you have more muscle.
You didn’t gain 10lbs in a weekend. Stay consistent and you will see change. If you need specifics I got you.
