🎓 Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

🌟 Workforce Buffalo Spotlight: Helping Young People Aim Higher 🌟
Workforce Buffalo’s Aim Higher Youth Workforce Development Program proudly partnered with the Erie County Department of Social Services and the Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center to provide youth ages 17-21 with two weeks of workforce development programming through the Summer Youth Employment Program.
Through interactive workshops and experiential learning opportunities, participants developed essential skills in financial literacy, professional attire and workplace etiquette, team building, goal setting, communication, and career readiness.
Program highlights included:
• Next Gen Professional Mixer where participants connected with local employers and industry professionals to learn about career pathways and employment opportunities.
• Game of Life Financial Literacy Workshop, facilitated by Good Neighbors Credit Union, which provided practical guidance on budgeting, financial decision-making, and money management.
• Harvesting Voices Workshop, led by Home Beneath Our Feet, focused on healthy living, nutrition, and access to farm-fresh foods.
• New Business Challenge, where participants developed and presented innovative business concepts to a panel of professionals.
The program concluded with a team-based Escape Room Challenge focused on the keys to success, reinforcing the importance of communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and personal accountability.
Through these immersive experiences and valuable community partnerships, participants gained the skills, confidence, and professional connections needed to take the next steps toward their educational and career goals. Workforce Buffalo remains committed to empowering the next generation through meaningful workforce development opportunities that prepare young people for long-term success.
