One of the best parts of fostering is getting to celebrate the little things most people take for granted… 💙
Tonight, Onyx reminded us just how big those “little” things can be—he played for the very first time!! 🎉🐾
Not only did he start it with his foster mom, but he even jumped in with Stanley, who’s still figuring out this whole “toys are fun” thing himself.
It might seem small, but moments like this are EVERYTHING. We’re hoping this means Onyx is starting to feel better, and it gives us so much hope for the happy, bright future ahead of him. ✨

🐾𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 & 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬!🐾
Hi friends! As many of you know, we currently have two English Bulldogs in our rescue who will be with us for at least another month or two. We’re looking for a few items to help make their foster home more comfortable—and to support these sweet boys along the way! 💙
𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬, 𝐭𝐨𝐨! 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝:
• 🥣 Large water bowls (Bulldog owners know… these guys go through LOTS of water and it is messy!)
• 🐶 Food storage container for Onyx’s prescription food (so we are NYS compliant—and keeps the food safe from our clever cats who love to break into bags!)
• 🚶‍♂️ Escape-proof harnesses to send with them to their future homes
• 🛏 Raised cot bed (they’re currently squeezing onto one!)
• 🩺 Large E-collar for Stanley’s upcoming cherry eye surgery

Our adorable little Louie has been adopted! 🐾💙
He’s headed home with a mama who’s ready to spoil him with love, and Louie is more than ready for all the cuddles, adventures, and attention coming his way. Happy tails, sweet boy! 🐶✨

🐾 Rescue Update: Stanley + Onyx 🐾
It’s been just over 10 days since the boys came into rescue, and we wanted to share a full update on how everyone is doing. We’re happy to report there’s been so much progress already! 💙
Both boys had their vet consultations, and we are really pleased with the outcome. They’re settling in, getting the care they need, and continuing to improve every single day. We’re so proud of how far they’ve come in such a short time — their futures are looking bright! ✨

🐾 Stanley
Stanley — our sweet surrender who used to spend over 16 hours a day in a crate — has made incredible progress.
When he arrived, he was underweight, dirty, and we were worried about possible medical issues. But this boy is thriving! Since starting a better salmon-based diet, he has already gained 3 pounds, cleaned up beautifully, and thankfully does not have the skin issues we initially feared.
Stanley will need surgery for cherry eye, and we are waiting for a specialist appointment (which may take a few months). In the meantime, we are keeping his eyes clean and comfortable. He’ll also need to be neutered before adoption.
We are so proud of how far he’s come and are hopeful he’ll be ready for adoption before summer is over 🏡

🐕 Onyx
Onyx’s bladder stone journey continues, but we have some positive news here too.
He currently has just one tiny stone, and since he has already undergone two surgeries, we are working closely with our vet to avoid another procedure if possible.
Onyx is now on a strict prescription diet — no other food allowed — to help lower his urinary pH and dissolve the stone naturally.
The best part?
✔️ He is not in pain or uncomfortable
✔️ He is doing great in his foster home

We’ll reassess in a few weeks, and if everything continues in the right direction and our vet gives the go-ahead…
✨ We’re hopeful Onyx will be ready for adoption by the end of June! ✨

💙 We are so incredibly proud of all of these boys and the progress they’ve made already. Stories like theirs remind us why rescue matters — with time, care, and love, everything can change.
