🎓 Socks has graduated! 🎓
Over the past 4 weeks, Socks has worked hard through his Board & Train program, focusing on building confidence, engagement, boundaries, basic obedience, impulse control, and navigating distractions.
One of his family’s biggest goals was preparing for the transition of welcoming a new baby into the home. Through training and leadership we worked on creating clear communication, structure, and healthy boundaries to help set Socks up for success during this exciting life change.
It has been incredible to watch Socks’ motivation, confidence, independence, and personality shine more and more each week. He has made wonderful progress, and we’re excited to see him continue thriving at home with his family.
Congratulations, Socks! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish moving forward. 🐾✨

Huge congratulations to Hannah & Shirley on an incredible accomplishment — completing all 3 levels of the Canine Good Citizen program and earning her Puppy STAR certification! 🎉🐾
Shirley & Hannah have shown so much dedication and commitment throughout their training journey. From private lessons, to board & train, to taking and passing their tests at our local store, Elmwood Pet Supplies, they continued to put in the work every step of the way.
Watching their confidence, teamwork, and relationship grow throughout training has been amazing to see. Completing all three CGC levels is a huge accomplishment, and they should be incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved together.
Next up — their Therapy Dog test, and we can’t wait to watch them continue to succeed!

Say hello to Knox!!
Knox completed his 3-week board & train program, and what a transformation it’s been.
Focused on structured greetings, advanced obedience, e-collar conditioning, and reliable off-leash skills —but more importantly, building clarity and communication between Knox and his handler.
Watching him learn, problem solve, and truly tune in with his handler was the best part. That level of engagement doesn’t just happen—it’s built through consistency, trust, and clear guidance.

Pack walk with our 3 board & train dogs,
Onyx, Knox and Simba!
Taking advantage of the sunny day to build confidence, practice good leash manners, and stay neutral.
Two of our trainers, working alongside their own service dogs: showing what real-life training, partnership, and trust look like in action!
Service dogs are not pets—they are highly trained working dogs defined under the ADA as dogs individually trained to perform specific tasks that mitigate their handler’s disability. From increasing independence to providing safety, stability, and confidence, these dogs are life-changing partners both at home and out in the world.
In this reel, you’ll see just a glimpse of what that looks like day-to-day
Tasks shown:
• Forward momentum pull - can be used as gentle guidance or grounding for the handler, as well as to help navigate surroundings
• Crowd control - to help create space between the handler and other people while moving
• Medical alerts - can be used for a variety of things; the dog is trained to interrupt or interfere with a negative behavior the handler is doing
• Leg elevation - can be used to help increase blood flow to the brain for a handler who is dizzy or passed out, or to assist with chronic pain
• Blocking - creates space between the handler and other people while stationary
• Deep pressure therapy - the dog uses their body weight to target specific pressure points on the handler to create a calming effect
• Retrieval - dogs can be trained to pick up and bring back a wide variety of items for handlers who may have trouble bending
Ella and Knox are making strides in their Board & Train journey, working closely with their trainer.
• Witness neutrality training in action: these pups walk side by side, locked in on their handler's cues.
• Knox and Ella show off their neutrality around each other. Though they've played and trained together before, they're pushing themselves to master individual commands like sending to place, sit/stay, and release.
