There are moments in history that become permanently woven into the hearts of a nation.
September 11, 2001, is one of them.
Today, we pause to remember the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember the people who never made it home.
We remember those who stepped forward to help.
We remember the love, compassion, and unity that emerged in the days that followed.
May we continue to honor their lives by keeping their memories close and never forgetting.
September 11, 2001 🕊️🇺🇸 We Remember.

The way we speak to ourselves matters.
When we face difficult moments, it can be easy to respond with criticism, shame, or blame. But research suggests that self compassion, and acceptance may support emotional regulation and help reduce threat related responses.
Acceptance does not mean ignoring what happened or avoiding responsibility; it means acknowledging the moment, without continuing to punish yourself for it.
Pause.
Breathe.
Notice what you’re feeling.
Give yourself space to settle before deciding what comes next.
Practicing peace also means learning to create peace within ourselves 🤲

How are you feeling right now?
Have you considered that how you are feeling is directly related to the quality of thoughts that you are thinking?
Not simply the words but the tone and attitude put into them.
If you wouldn’t speak to a friend you care about the way you’re speaking to yourself then why should you treat yourself that way?
When we criticize and judge ourselves we are activating the same mental and physiological responses that occur during times of threat and danger known as fight or flight. This attributes to lack of safety making rest and relaxation a distant possibility.
Taking “Peace Pauses” throughout the day to gauge where your feeling and thoughts are is a powerful practice. Simply giving yourself a few moments to pause take a few deep breaths and asses where you are is all it takes.
Setting reminders on your phone throughout your day is a very helpful tool to establish this habit of self reflection and compassion.
This simple practice has the power to rewire your mind making it easier to feel consistent peace throughout the day which is the basis of health for both body and mind try it on and see for yourself.
At Practicing Peace Project we explore and put into practice techniques like this and many others in addition to learning effective meditation techniques in order to access and sustain lasting inner peace. We will soon be offering introductory somatic exercise workshops to deepen our ability to self regulate as well, please stay tuned and check our website at:

You cannot find peace by only walking away from what wounded you. Sometimes, you have to return to the places within you that still carry the weight of it all.
Not to stay there.
Not to become the wound.
But to finally meet yourself there with compassion.
Because what we are willing to face,
we can then begin to release, and what we stop abandoning within ourselves can finally begin to heal.
Peace is not found in avoiding the past.
Sometimes, it is created by returning to it
with a different heart.

If you knew you had 25 failures standing between you and the life you’re fighting for… would you slow down, or would you keep moving forward?
The mission doesn’t end because the first attempt didn’t go as planned.
Growth requires adaptation.
Healing requires patience.
Transformation requires the courage to continue.
Every challenge you face builds resilience. Every lesson learned brings you one step closer.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is progress.
One step.
One lesson.
One day at a time.
