Joining 2 year old Heeler Mix Kirby is newcomer 1 year old Retriever Mix Lacey Jo. Both are good with other dogs with an introduction. Kirby can be strong on leash and Lacey Jo needs improvement leash walking. Kirby keeps a clean kennel. Both dogs may need a refresher or to be crate and/or house trained. Both are people friendly. Lacey Jo has a gentle nature. When excited, Kirby can exhibit heeler traits such as mouthing fingers and grabbing sleeves or pants. A stern no is needed to stop this behavior. Added to our feline line up is 10 month old Jaguar with 4 month old Beau, 18 month old bobtail Bobby, and 22 month old Smokey. All are Domestic Shorthairs except Bobby who is a Domestic Longhair. Bobby would do better as an only kitty. The others are good with other kitties after an intro. All are people friendly, litterbox trained, felv/fiv negative, and for indoor only homes. New to our adoption program is 7 year old Pomeranian Mix Drake, and 4 month old Beagle Mix littermates Theodore and Simon. These three are in foster care where they all do well with the resident dogs and kitty. Drake's owner passed away, leaving him lost and timid. He needs a home with an older couple or individual with patience to give him adjustment time. He has shown his foster mom he can be a loving boy. He is house and crate trained. Theodore and Simon are working on their crate and house training. Love toys. Simon is more timid and will need love and patience bonding with his new family. Our boy, Kirby, is a 2 year old Heeler mix. When excited, he will mouth your fingers or your shirt/pant leg, but responds to a stern no. Good with other dogs and enjoys playing. Hudson is a 4 to 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is living in foster care. When crated, he can feel defensive around the other dogs. But, with an introduction and playtime, he does well with another dog. He is house/crate trained, and leash walks. He is people friendly and will make a good companion dog to a couple or individual.
