𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘰, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 "𝘸𝘦" 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴' 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥.

In this that might ultimately emerge as one of our East Side community's defining moments, the focus and active engagement of even our community's young persons, is clearly evident. I don't know about you, but I am absolutely 'here' for all of the above...and then some. Each of we undoubtedly have many things going on within our daily lives, but at the fore of our active consciousness in this very present and very pregnant hour, should be the awareness that right is truly on our side, and too, that our beloved East Side community is actually a very important quadrant of our evolving city. Our community's circumstance in Buffalo, reveals the heart soul, and moral turpitude of this historically significant Buffalo-Niagara Region. We too, are Upstate Western New York.

So prepare to deep-dive into this brand New Year, and navigate the processes of a brand new mayor becoming elected. This era could be the start of what could become described as our community's great awakening. Momentum is on our side. We are still in the land of the living, so it is undeniable and should be clear to especially to ourselves, that God has not counted us out, yet. He Has not, so we should neither do that to ourselves, or to our fellow neighbor.

I am very encouraged that my contribution to the community-wide campaign to help accomplish the objectives of the Restore Humboldt Parkway, Reconnect MLK and Delaware Parks, and Revitalize The East Side Movement, has fortunately been very well received. Such acknowledgement is of course a blessing, and I receive it as an important indication that I am on the right course, and am in the right lane to continue to occupy a designated space within our community's improvement, and as a leader in our collective aim. This campaign has as its imperative, the absolute necessity of the restoration and enforcement of our community's civil and human rights, and the protection and promotion of our built environments, sacred places, and shared cultural heritage.

The preservation of our children's promise, and their inheritance, requires nurturing each of their unique gifting, and unfailingly enforcing their God-given dignity. My desire, and my life's purpose, is to be and remain in constant alignment with that mission. It is my assignment. My great hope, each day, is to observe great works. To my mind, God Is Amazing. I wish to champion America's urban communities' redevelopment, and The Heavensgate Company's Covington Associates Consulting has literally paved a way, for that to occur. As an environmentalist, my abiding obligation and overarching Cause, is "first, do no harm". I wholeheartedly subscribe to that guiding principle.

Sometimes in life, we get to take part in somethings that are timeless, valuable. the songs I composed for "Tree Of Life" or "TOL", are precisely that. My personal favorite, is "She Walks In Beauty", which is alternately titled "TOL". Another, is "Prodigy", which is also called "The King In Me". Prodigy describes my life's journey, thus far. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮, 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

For supporting REMOVAL of the NY 33 Kensington Expressway, the RESTORATION of Humboldt Parkway, and the RECONNECTION of Humboldt/MLK Parks, and the REVITALIZATION of the East Side Buffalo community. Those three objectives being obtained, will lend to the transformative improvement of our beloved East Side community, in Buffalo (NY). Clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and a healthful living environment to abide in are not only a necessity, they are all people's inalienable right. Minority communities' pathway toward enjoyment of their active and robust participation, within this entire Planet Earth's decidedly Green Future, is unquestionably paved with high regard for, and in fact adherence to, conscientious application of sustainable principles, that undergird all our external environment-facing decisions. These must routinely inform, and in essence govern, all our outwardly manifested actions. Such (a) moral and affirming virtue must now become a requisite, if it is not already, and indeed must now comprise our customary norm.

NYS Department of Transportation’s tunnel project in Buffalo, and anywhere else those projects are advanced in minority neighborhoods that are suffering, like our city's, from toxic infrastructures' polluting effects, fails to secure any deliverance from such direly adverse impacts, and fails to procure any crucially important quality-of-life outcomes. Tunnel projects, 'cap' projects, 'stitch' projects, and whatever else name they arrive to go by and including 'promenade park' projects, implemented where the environmental degradation along pollution lines is currently a factor, are not truly in any wise restorative. They are in fact a further exacerbation, of an already deleterious injustice. Our community in Buffalo, therefore, must now necessarily take the lead, to aid our own selves. We must now advance, secure, and enforce our own "best interests", in this very portentous matter that is also of national, and possibly even international, consequence.

One of the Biden-Harris U.S. Presidential Administration's overarching mandates and intentions, was for its once-in-a-generation Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation to literally "reconnect" this country's predominantly Black and low-income, urban, inner-core, communities. Such neighborhoods, and we residents who have historically inhabited they, were deliberately imperiled by a previous generation's unfair and debilitating public policies, which were facilitated to systematically encroach upon, and breech, the very threshold of our dignity. The construction of high-speed 1950s era limited access highways, inside in this nation's very densely populated inner cities, interrupted and uprooted the lives of nearly a million minority households. It destroyed thousands of neighborhood-based small businesses. It decimated countless downtown USA City business districts. Under the auspices of so-called 'urban renewal', but which was actually "negro" and "poor person" removal, our hearts were broken, our lives were shattered, our businesses were shuttered, our generational wealth was sabotaged, our health was hijacked, and what has become nearly a century and culture of yet another layer of institutionally imposed terrorism-by-stealth, was commenced. That we have somehow managed to survive, only to be confronted by the perversion of the Reconnecting Communities initiative to not actually fund such invasive highways' removal, but to procure their expansion in this so-called environmental justice era, is nothing short of incredible. The evidence of all of our monumental suffering, and of some of our (who accepted their state DOT's 'cap' or 'deck park' proposal) re-victimization, and of all of our collective trauma, however, is pervasive and clear. We are and will be here, for as long as God Keeps us in the land of the living, but we, like all communities of persons, are designed to do, and to be, infinitely more than merely alive.

Our East Side community’s overwhelming opposition to NYS Department of Transportation’s short-sighted tunnel proposal is being heard loud and clear, inside the City of Buffalo, and throughout the Buffalo-Niagara Region. We took an unapologetic stand for what we knew to be correct, and that is, the absolute right our East Side community has to insist upon a “better” NY 33 Kensington Expressway Project, for ourselves, and for our future generations. Thank you so very much, to each and everyone who stood ten toes down on our East Side community’s urgent business, as we insisted upon Black Buffalo occupying a truly empowered and impactful seat at the table of decision-rendering, that will guide these developments. Ultimately, the decision of what variety of Kensington Expressway Project is to be performed in this city, in this generation, has always been 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚'𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 to make, and not State of New York's DOT's. Because we did not see ourselves as grasshoppers, we were able to stand up to, and to successfully oppose, even a very powerful and very insistent 'giant' regional government Authority, of these United States of America. We knew it was necessary that we do so, whatever the odds, because the agency insisted upon a public policy that neither honored our beloved East Side Buffalo community's "best interest", nor even at long last put forth any effort, whatsoever, to restore or preserve our community's residents' very lives.

This unique opportunity to attain our aim is furthered, by a growing coalition of East Side focused activists, groups, clubs, agencies, foundations, think tanks, individuals, entrepreneurs, and organizations. What we share, is support for Humboldt Parkway neighborhood residents' bold vision of a restored and reconnected East Side community, and we have the utmost esteem for their vested interest. If it be the Lord's Abiding Will, our city’s glorious Humboldt Parkway will once again become faithfully re-manifested, at this historic juncture. God Is indeed with us, and so it is indeed my pleasure, privilege, and indeed honor, to share in such (a) worthy and worthwhile mission. I am eternally grateful, and forever thankful, to my Source and my Sustenance in all things that I apply my hand toward. He Is, in truth, the Lord Jesus Christ. My Savior, and my King. Without Him, I am 'just' a woman who cares very deeply about her community, and who is acquainted with very many other such individuals, both young and old(er), and both male and female. With Him, I can do all things that strengthen me, and that also empower my beloved East Side Buffalo community. With Him as we rise, we'll surmount each and any challenge, on our way to thrive.

East Side Collaborative Partnership can be relied upon to ensure that this very necessary MOVEMENT, remains active, positively impactful, and as very highly effective as is humanly possible to achieve. Nevertheless, ultimately, this battle is not ours, it is the Lord's. Nothing is impossible for God. He Can Do all things. Rest assured in the meanwhile, The Collab will remain vigilant, and we will be diligent, in striving to advance our beloved community’s “best interest”. Throughout the entire Kensington Expressway Matter, we will endeavor to keep "our" East Side community INFORMED. We can be trusted with pursuing, and promoting, the enforcement and the reinforcement of the Black East Side's local and regional profile, as "we" too are made a beneficiary of our city's continued recovery, and in its still evolving "renaissance". I, and the members of East Side Collaborative Partnership, as well as my respective Covington Associates Consulting | CAC small business enterprise, and the members of East Side Parkways Coalition, have been all along and are unpaid laborers, in this incredibly rewarding neighborhood and community upliftment Effort. East Side Parkways Coalition has asked the Buffalo Common Council to draft a Resolution in support of the REMOVAL of the NY Route 33 Kensington Expressway, the RESTORATION of Frederick Law Olmsted's original design of Humboldt Parkway, and the RECONNECTION of Humboldt/MLK Park.
