Q2 is almost here... 👇 How has the first quarter of 2022 served you? Did you use it well? Or did it use you? Has it set up the momentum for the rest of the year? What were your biggest takeaways from this quarter? Did you learn any important lessons that shifted your trajectory? Can you honestly say that you'll never be the same after this quarter? I hope you're learning at this point that it is so important to be aware and intentional. "What gets measured gets managed." Make sure that you're measuring this quarter as you go through your reflections so that you can manage your actions, habits, routines, thought processes and emotions better throughout the rest of this year. It's not just about your trading results. It's about your emotions, your psychology, your relationships, finances, physical habits... Every area of life has a way of coming back around into the next. You're the common denominator in all of them. And as always, this quarter doesn't guarantee the next. Patience pays.👇 This is true in trading but also more generally in life. The person who is willing to give consistently to their craft, who can manage their emotions to make smart decisions and has enough patience to release control of the timelines is dangerous. What do people often do when they’re entering losing trades and see other people “winning?” They get frustrated and enter trades that don’t follow their trading plan. They end up giving more money to the patient. When your trades or timelines don't play out, do you give yourself permission to take unadvised levels of risk? Do you beat yourself up and turn a failure into defeat, or do you stick around and use your initial failure to make an even stronger foundation? Life, and trading, is a constant give-and-take. There are things we get to release control of, and things we get to take control of. Understanding to live within this careful balance will make patience come so much easier, and it will help you protect your capital. ——————
