It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Lieutenant/Paramedic Eric Spillar. Today, we pause to honor Eric’s life, service, and the lasting impact he had on the Buda Fire Department and those who served alongside him.
Lieutenant Spillar was born on September 22, 1982, and was hired by the Buda Fire Department on September 7, 2010. Throughout his career, Eric demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and leadership. He was a dedicated firefighter and paramedic, a trusted officer, and a friend to many within Buda Fire Department.
Eric is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ann Spillar, his daughter, Brooklynn (13), and his son, Pierce (8). Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time.
As funeral and memorial details become available, they will be shared.
Eric will be remembered for his service, his commitment to this profession, and the relationships he built within the Fire and EMS service.
Traffic Advisory: FM 2001 and Hillside Terrace is currently closed by DPS due to a fatal accident. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.
