However, life is busy and the best of intentions to put a plan in place gets pushed to the back burner until, unfortunately, it is too late. Too late because you have been diagnosed with a chronic illness or worse, you have passed away. Our immense array of insurance products provide protection for families so they can make the best decision for their future in the event of a chronic illness or pa

What do you worry about or....what keeps you awake at night?
Many worry about things like the safety and wellbeing of our children, or an illness like having a heart attack, a stroke, getting diagnosed with cancer, or even passing away unexpectedly and your family losing your income and possibly even their home.
These are all things that we all have little or no control over.
"How would my family continue living if one of these things happened to me or anyone in my family? Would the house go back to the bank? Will my spouse have to go to work or get a 2nd job? Will my kids have to change schools because of having to move out of the current home? "
"What can I personally do now for my family in order to put them in the best possible situation when something bad or unexpected happens to me?"
As you probably know, horrible devastation occurred in the south this passed weekend due to massive flooding. Many towns where completely wiped out. On a personal level, our home office was destroyed in Swannanoa NC. Many of our corporate officers and employees are in a horrible situation. When they all left work on Friday, they had no idea that this is what their beautiful offices would look like on Monday. More importantly many of their homes were devastated or even destroyed. No one saw this coming. Our hearts are with our fellow workers and everyone in a that part of the country. We hope for a fast recovery and safety for all.
This all has reminded me of how unpredictable life can be. How unforeseen things can happen to any of us, at any time.
As remote agents around the country, we are all doing our best to keep our business running as much as possible and help this amazing company that has done so much for so many do what they do best, protect families.
I am honored to work in a business that helps take some of the sting out of unforeseen things.
I believe everyone deserves the peace of mind that their family is protected.

So, when I “hit the wall” and began looking for the next “thing”, I had some “non-negotiables” that were important to me. A hand full of things that I would get to decide moving forward.
First, I had to be 100% able to make all decisions on my own. But I did know how important it was to listen to those who had been where I was, seek their advice and learn from their experience. But I’m talking about the main things - when to work, when to play, when to spend time with my family, when we could go on vacation and so on. I wanted to decide these things for myself. I did not want to have to ask permission from anyone else. Second, not being a regimented kind of person, a flexible schedule was very important as well. Constant routine is not a lot of fun for an “ENFP” (Myer’s Briggs assessment). LOL So, it was important for me to be able to make my own schedule. Additionally, I wanted a potential for uncapped earnings. Although happy with previous earnings, I wanted to know that if I put more in, I would get more out.
What are your “non-negotiables” with your career? I would love to hear some of yours!

So grateful for where I came from in life, work, and business. Mirroring my amazing families work ethic, I began working at 13 years old and all through high school. Because further education wasn’t an option, after high school I began working numerous jobs, from construction, auto detailing, assembly, and factory work. SOOO many jobs! After several years of just working and wondering if this was as good as it was going to get, a good friend of mine Steve Souder urged me to pursue a sales career which was intriguing. At the age of 29 I got my first opportunity in sales when Jim Underwood gave me a shot with THE premier office equipment dealer in Charlotte NC area. ( ). I doubled my income the first year and never looked back! On top of a lucrative job and hilarious work environment the education I received was priceless. In addition to making work fun, Jim as well as Joey Gamble and many others taught me so much about the payoff of hard work, hustle and how to ask good questions in sales. That job was life changing and I am extremely grateful!
Also I owe a huge thank you to my big brother Tim W. Davis for his belief in me to always be my best! “Can’t means won’t”. I will never forget that!
Moving forward, I wanted more control of my life and frankly I just wasn’t a good employee. I needed to have “my own thing.” Deep down I wanted an opportunity that would allow me to do whatever I wanted…whenever I wanted… at any time that I wanted to do it. But did such a possibility even exist for someone like me?? My limiting belief told me “nope” but later I would learn that the biggest thing standing in my way was in fact, myself.
Fast forward quite a bit……
1 year ago, my family and I made a huge decision to move across country to the Phoenix Arizona area. A part of the country that has always had my heart.
As an employee, I would not have been able to make such a move on my terms. Best part for me was that I didn’t have to ask permission from anyone.
This was the large measure of freedom that I had always wanted. Now I am in control!
