I feel like we often test, test, test… but we don’t always explain the WHY behind it. 🤔

So here it is 👇
The TSIA2 isn’t just another test—it’s a college readiness checkpoint that impacts your time, money, and opportunities.

In Texas, if you don’t have passing scores, you will be placed in remedial courses before you can take college-level English and Math.

And here’s what many families don’t realize 👇
Your passing scores can come from a combination of tests:
✔️ TSIA2
✔️ SAT
✔️ ACT

For example:
You can have a passing Math score from the SAT and a passing Reading score from the TSIA2.

Why this matters:
💰 Save money by avoiding non-credit remedial classes
⏭️ Skip extra courses and start in college-level classes
🎓 Qualify for dual credit opportunities
✔️ Show colleges you are college ready

How long are your test scores good for? 🎯
Students and families ask this every single year.

Here is the clear answer you can plan around. 🗓️

The TSIA2, SAT, and ACT scores are all considered valid for five years from the test date for college readiness, placement, admission, and many scholarship uses. 📊

That means:
• Early testing opens doors 🚪
• Planning your testing timeline matters 🧭
• Junior year is still the prime time for fresh scores for college applications 🎓

Students, if you tested early, you are in great shape. ✅
If it has been a few years, it may be time to plan your next test date. ✍️

Use this information to be strategic, not surprised. 💡

AP scores are not one-size-fits-all 🎯

Colleges and universities set their own AP credit policies.
A score of 3 is considered passing, yet many institutions require a 4 or 5 to award college credit for certain exams.

Before test day, check how your prospective colleges handle AP credit so you know exactly what your score can earn.
