💜 September is National Recovery Month and Su***de Prevention Awareness Month
As we begin September, Gateway Community Service Board joins communities across the nation in recognizing the power of recovery and raising awareness about su***de prevention.
Su***de can affect individuals, families, and communities from every walk of life. Talking openly about su***de, recognizing when someone may be struggling, checking in on the people we care about, and connecting individuals to support can save lives.
This month, we also celebrate individuals on their recovery journeys and honor the families, peers, professionals, and communities who support them every day.
Recovery is possible. Treatment works. Hope is real. And no one should have to face a mental health or substance use challenge alone.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or su***de related crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
💜 There is hope. There is help. There is recovery.
