Coastal Area Precision Rifle Shooters
Welcome to the Coastal Area Precision Rifle Shooters page. Come join us for a variety of matches, every first Saturday of each month.
The November Match has been cancelled due to Range Maintenance.
Beautiful day for a match yesterday, with just a little wind, and mirage not picking up until the end. Scott Hopkins awoke from his hibernation and showed everyone he has not forgotten how to get things down. He won the open class, with William Cross coming in second. Daniel Aruzu won the Production class for the second month in a row, with Marlyn Mitchell coming in second. William Cross won the match after the match. Pictures to follow, once I receive them.

As promised - great weather and a great match. Very little wind, and the mirage picked up a bit towards the end. Todd Reeves won first in open, with Brett Parkinson coming in second. In the production class, Daniel Aruzu came in first, with Marlyn Mitchell coming in second.

Looks like we are going to have great weather for Saturday's match - which will be a standard match. Grab your gear and your dope, and we'll see you bright and early on Saturday morning. Safety brief starts at 9:00 am.

It was a cold weekend, but a few brave souls traveled out to the range for the "test your Limits" course of fire. Less than three points separated the top three positions in the Open Class. Congratulations to Brett Parkinson for 1st Open and Todd Reeves for 2nd Open. Marlyn Mitchell was first in the Production class.

The 2024 point competition ended up with a clear winner - Brett Parkinson. Brett did so well, he didn't even have to shoot in December to wrap up the title. There was a close battle for second but William ended up widening the gap over Caleb by winning the match. Congrats to all of the shooters that competed this year.

We had seven open class shooters battle the cold weather this weekend - I guess the production class stayed home with their blankets. The competition was very close, as the first and second place was separated by two points. William Cross took first, and Donald Holmes came in second. Congrats to all!
