CCGA VALOR
The purpose of VALOR is to provide support to armed forces veterans, and their dependents transition to college life.
And all interested in joining the military or wanting to help support the military and veterans. The purpose of VALOR is to provide support to armed forces veterans, active military, or retired military persons in their transition into the college experience. VALOR meetings are also open to military family members, faculty, staff, and any interested student, regardless if they are military or not.

Here's pictures from our Veterans Day Event last week! We were Honored to have Rep. Earl "Buddy" Carter and Mayor Cornell Harvey as guest speakers! Also, we appreciate the VFW, American Legion, and a group called Carry The Load for attending and sharing information about their organizations.

College, schools celebrate Veterans Day Brunswick Mayor Cornell Harvey made a promise to himself nearly 20 years ago. Every Veterans Day, he would wear his military uniform.

This Date in History:
MacArthur received the official go-ahead for the Inchon landing, codenamed Operation Chromite, and the port was captured by U.S. Marines on September 15, 1950. American-led U.N. troops then pushed inland to retake Seoul on September 26. Allied troops then converged on the North Korean army from the north and the south, killing or capturing thousands of enemy soldiers.

International Day of Sign Languages is celebrated annually across the world on 23 September every year along with International Week of the Deaf. The choice of 23 September is the same date that the World Federation of the Deaf was established in 1951.

In the United States, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday in September. It honors those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. It is most associated with those who were POWs during the Vietnam War.
