WE’RE BACK! Season 7 is officially underway!

After a long holiday break, we’re leaving the bitter cold of Michigan behind and heading back down to Florida to get Andromeda ready for another season.

We have some routine maintenance to finish up, but there’s one big thing on our minds — putting the ECM trouble behind us once and for all. After everything we’ve been through with it, we’re more than ready to finally get this issue resolved and move on!

Once the repairs are complete, we get a late start leaving St. Pete and point Andromeda south. Our goal? Sarasota before dark.

Will we make it? Or are we going to be looking for somewhere to tie up for the night?

This is the end of the first chapter of our Gold Loop!

We’ve made our way to St. Petersburg, Florida, where we’re settling in at a great facility surrounded by some really great people. It’s a pretty good place to find ourselves at the end of this leg of the journey.

But this isn’t quite the end of the adventure.

It’s the beginning of our Christmas break, and we’ll spend the next two weeks in St. Pete before putting Andromeda on the hard for the holidays. Then it’s time to trade Florida sunshine for the cold Midwest as we head home for about a month to celebrate Christmas and spend some much-needed time with family.

But there’s one problem…

Is two weeks in St. Pete too long for cruisers who are ready to keep moving? 😂

Come along as we wrap up the first chapter of our Gold Loop and get ready to leave Andromeda behind for the holidays.

Today we leave Tarpon Springs and head south toward St. Petersburg, Florida!

We’ll depart just after sunrise, heading out onto the Anclote River before entering the beginning of Florida’s West Coast ICW. From there, we’ll make our way south toward Tampa Bay and one of the most impressive arrivals of the trip — docking beneath the breathtaking St. Pete skyline.

This marks the beginning of an extended stay in St. Petersburg, which will become our temporary home for the Christmas break.

Come along with us as Andromeda makes her way down Florida’s Gulf Coast and into Tampa Bay!
