As my year as a Junior board member officially comes to an end, I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for this experience. Being voted by my peers to serve in this role meant so much to me, and it’s something I’ll always be proud of. This year brought so many memories, lessons, laughs, challenges, and moments of growth that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

A huge thank you to Ms. Lee Anna, Mr. Mark, Mr. Jeffery, Ms. Kate, and Ms. Christi for being our advisors and volunteers for SE. Your time, patience, guidance, and support never went unnoticed, and we appreciate everything you did for us throughout the year.

To my seniors — Macy, Daniel, Diego, Diya, Leo, Scout, and Kyndal — thank you for leading, helping, and being such an important part of this journey. I wish each of you nothing but success and happiness in everything you do after board.

To my board — Makenzie, Ellie, Elly, Ethan, Katie, Colton, and Lorelei — thank you for sharing this year with me. No matter what, we all experienced something special together, and I truly wish each of you the best in your future journeys and careers after board I know I’ll see yall again.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, encouraged us, and made this year unforgettable. I’m so happy I got the chance to be part of it all.

And to the 2026-2027 board… have fun, make memories, and enjoy every moment because it goes by fast.

Today was a really good day! I got to continue my job shadow at Ware Middle School with Ms. Jones, and I honestly had so much fun. I was able to sit in with the eighth graders, experience what a real classroom is like from both sides, and I even took a test and made a 93! I liked it so much that I asked if I could come back again. This was also my first time ever being inside a public middle school, so it was a big experience for me.

I want to say thank you to Ms. Jones and the school administration for letting me have this opportunity, and a special thank you to Mrs. Julia Graves for escorting us and making sure we didn't get lost.

And a big thank you to my homeschool teacher, Ms. Frazier, (My grandmother) Yvette Frazier and Hashondra Jernigan (My mother). I’m really thankful for everyone who is helping me learn, grow, and step into new experiences!

Even though I can't make it in person tomorrow, I still wanted to hip-hop into another KayLee Michelle Adventure and spread the gift of reading! 📚💖

I’m so excited to donate some of my books to the Reading for a Bright Future event Hosted by Opportunity Uplifted at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library, celebrating Black History Month and uplifting young readers in our community.

Hey Friends! One year ago today, I was elected to serve on the SED 2025–2026 Jr. Board of Directors. Standing on the Rock Eagle stage was something I’d dreamed about for years, and getting to live that dream with such an amazing board has meant everything to me. In just one week, my term will officially come to an end, and I hope the next Jr. Board has just as much fun, growth, and joy as I did.

Today, I’m honoring the courage stitched into every uniform and the stories carried home in silence. Veterans Day isn’t just a date — it’s a reminder to pause, reflect, and thank those who gave us the freedom to dream, create, and lead.I’m proud to be part of a community that values service, sacrifice, and Southern strength.
