Overall, this weekend was a challenging one, with some intense competition at the Big Cash Summer Bash at Wabash Valley Dragway.

The boys had a tough time on the tree, turning it red multiple times on Friday and Saturday. When they were on their game, we struggled with dialing the cars.

On Saturday, they ended up running each other in the second round of both races, so at least we managed to turn on a couple of win lights. 🤣 Sam managed to make it to a semi-final round for his age group, which was the most successful race for us.

Ella even took a turn at driving in the pit vehicle race on Saturday night.

On Sunday, the boys lost all three rounds of the team race. Then, both went out in the first round of the second chance race. In spite of this, I’m proud of the boys in finding little wins and improving on the tree Sunday despite not turning on a win light.

We’ll make a couple changes to the cars and get back on the practice tree before heading to the Next Gen Jr. Nationals at Bowling Green this weekend. They’ll have a chance to win a couple of Diamond Wallys there.

We’ll be back in action with the big cars at Norwalk in a few weeks.

Got by the first two rounds. Looks like round 3 will be Saturday morning.

Good weekend racing the Jr’s at Wabash Valley. Henry lost 3rd round in both races, and Sam lost in the 2nd round.

We’re off next weekend before we head to Chicago for the Route 66 Nationals and then Bowling Green for the SportsNationals.

St. Louis Wrap-Up. The car was good, but the driver let it down. Back home to get ready for the next one!

One more Q run in the morning, then it’s go time!

We didn’t take home any trophy’s, but we learned a lot about the dragster this weekend, and learned the driver of the Firebird needs to pull it together. 😂

The little C/ED ran good in the 95 degree heat, but we couldn’t get past the semifinal round.

The Firebird glitched on the 2-step in round 1, but we can’t recreate the problem so we’ll head back to the National event for more punishment. 😀
