Our shop features a curated mix of apparel, gifts, custom tees, and custom order options, along with items from local makers and small businesses.
This floor has a story.
Most people walk into a small business and see the finished product. The displays. The products. The pretty pictures on social media.
What they don't see are the conversations that happened behind the scenes.
For over a year, we fought for this space. A space we put a lot of money into.
The same problems. The same leaks. The same promises. The same conversations over and over again.
At some point, repeating yourself to someone who is responsible for fixing a problem and watching nothing change starts to feel a lot like insanity. Not because you haven't communicated. Not because you haven't been patient. But because you've exhausted every reasonable effort and still find yourself standing in the exact same place.
There were many times we could have simply walked away.
But we didn't.
We cleaned up the messes.
We moved inventory.
We protected what we could.
We gave grace.
We waited.
We followed up.
We documented.
We asked again.
And again.
And again.
One of the hardest lessons I've learned as a business owner is that not everyone will care about your business the way you do. Not everyone will keep their word. Not everyone will value your time, your investment, or the sacrifices you've made to build something.
And sometimes the people you trust to do the right thing simply won't.
But I've also learned something else.
Resilience matters.
The people who support you matter.
The customers who show up matter.
The family who helps you keep going matters.
This chapter has been frustrating, expensive, exhausting, and heartbreaking at times. But it has also taught us exactly what we will and will not accept moving forward.
Sometimes growth comes disguised as disappointment.
And sometimes the best thing you can do is stop fighting the wrong battle and put your energy into building something better.
Onward and upward.

This is a post I never thought I would have to write.
After many conversations, prayers, sleepless nights, and a lot of reflection, We have made the difficult decision that The Rodriguez Way will not be continuing the storefront.
While the storefront chapter is coming to an end, The Rodriguez Way is not.
We will continue through online sales, custom orders, porch pickup, local events, pop-ups, and community connections. We successfully operated this way before the storefront, and I look forward to continuing to serve our customers and support small businesses in this next chapter.
I want to be transparent about why.
This decision is not because of a lack of support, customers, vendors, or business. The support from this community has been incredible, and I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am for every person who has walked through our doors, shared our posts, made a purchase, or simply cheered us on.
Unfortunately, for over a year we have been dealing with ongoing building-related issues that we have repeatedly tried to have addressed and have been led on to believe they were fixed . We continued to invest in the space, renovate it, purchase signage, market the business, bring in amazing vendors, and build a community because we truly believed these issues would be resolved. Despite our patience and efforts, the problems have continued, and we have reached a point where we can no longer continue operating in the space under these circumstances.
This has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever made with our businesses . We poured our hearts into this storefront. I dreamed of watching it grow for years to come. There have been many tears shed over this decision because I genuinely loved what we were building.
However, I also know that sometimes moving forward means letting go of something that is no longer serving your family, your peace, or your future.
If there's one thing this experience has taught me, it's that success isn't always measured by how long something lasts. Sometimes it's measured by the people you meet, the community you build, and the impact you make along the way.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting my family, supporting our vendors, and being part of this chapter. It has meant more than you'll ever know.
This isn't goodbye. It's simply a new chapter.

Unfortunately, we will be closed today.
I want to be transparent and share that this is not due to a lack of support, customers, or business. We have loved connecting with our community, supporting local vendors, and watching this little shop grow.
However, ongoing building-related issues that we believed had been resolved by the landlord and have continued, and after another setback, I need to take some time to evaluate our next steps.
This is incredibly frustrating and emotional because we've invested so much into this space and truly believed it would be our home for years to come. Right now, I'm simply trying to navigate the situation and determine the best path forward.
The support from this community has never been the issue. We are incredibly grateful for every customer, vendor, friend, and family member who has walked through our doors, shared our posts, shopped small, and cheered us on. Your support has meant more than you know.
While we take some time to evaluate our options, we'll keep everyone updated on what comes next. This isn't goodbye… it's simply a pause while we navigate some challenges and determine the best path forward. ❤️
