Cash Charitable Contributions...if you use the standard deduction instead of itemized deductions, you can deduct up to $300 ($600 if married filing jointly) above the line for cash charitable contributions for 2021.

Don't fear mail from the IRS this month. If you received any Advance Child Tax Credit payments, you should receive Letter 6419. Also, Letter 6475 is going out to report if you received the third stimulus payment. You will need these letter to prepare your taxes for 2021. Not having accurate payment information could delay processing of your return by the IRS.

Important Tax Documents will start arriving soon. If you have not already done so, dedicate a folder/envelope to keep everything in one safe place so you will not be searching for them later.

New information regarding the advance Child tax credit. I know many had issues when they tried to opt out before it started, but you can try to opt out again. Next payment goes out 10/15.
