Anyone catching Arcade Fire tonight at Red Rocks? I have been blessed with the opportunity to shoot it and I just learned they are playing their album "Funeral" in it's entirety. That album was the soundtrack to 2007 for me and helped me through some very tough times with the passing of my aunt and uncle and the very confusing (in hindsight beautiful) changes in my family with my cousins (now sisters) coming to live with us. I remember throwing my headphones on and playing this album on endless repeat. I'd disappear for hours with my camera to process everything and envision my future photography career. I wish I could have told 17 year old me what was going down tonight. This was his dream.

Sometimes you just get something neat. Was at the Lord Huron concert last night shooting and decided maybe I should go to the top of the venue catch the lightning.

Eldorado Canyon was gorgeous last night.

A fun little shoot we did at Spirit Sisters Studio in Rino on Saturday with Risa Scott In order to get light on various parts of the set, I walked around with a strobe and hit different areas. There are about 10 layers in photoshop of different captures to create the mood.

This is one of my favorite shots from the Ukiyo Omakase shoot we just finished. We lit this shoot with a very bright light source in the corner and bounced light around using mirrors. It created a really unique and moody look that I just love. Austin Michaels is a wizard. If you need a gaffer, hit him up. Khiember Luangphithack crushed food styling and Rob Nickels video is absolutely incredible. Food shoots are my new favorite!

So incredibly excited for the results of this food explosion shot we did for Ukiyo Omakase, a new 12 seat restaurant under Bao Taphouse in Denver. Rob Nickels, Khiember Luangphithack and Austin Michaels all came together to make this awesome project a success. The food was incredible and I highly recommend it for your next date night. I'll be posting more shots from the shoot coming up in the next few days.

Met some Elephants in Thailand. This place was a rescue in which many of the elephants had been through terrible events such as stepping on a landmine or getting their eyes shot out with sling shots. Was nice to see they are being treated well and taken care of properly now. They sure love rolling around in mud almost as much as I do.

Snagged this shot last year in Silverthorne, Colorado. This guy came up to say "hi" and I had my strobe and camera ready to go!
