The Torah scroll is the most treasured possession of every congregation and Jewish community. To have the merit of filling in a letter in a Torah scroll is a truly special honor, becoming part of the eternal story of the Jewish people.
In these photos, Rabbi Brikman is seen receiving this beautiful honor.
This Friday, we celebrate Shavuos, the holiday when we received the Torah and the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, 3338 years ago!

A father and son...
Today, we mourn the passing of Rabbi Baruch Brikman, the father of Rabbi Chaim Brikman.
The father who raised him, shaped him, and gave him to the world, is now together with him once again. United in heaven.
Rabbi Brikman senior was a great support to our community. He participated in many of the activities and events in Sea Gate, always showing his care, encouragement, and presence.

Rabbi Brikman believed deeply in the youth of his community. He showed it in the way he sat with them, listened to them, encouraged them, making each one feel seen, valued, and important.
Behind every confident child is an adult who truly paid attention.
