Spike and the Gandy Dancers I cannot say how long I've been working on releasing this album. It is difficult to identify when it began. These are my songs. I've always been creating my songs.

HAPPY RECORD STORE DAY!

Back in my day, my usual was Hot Licks on White Bear Avenue and Larpenteur. Hot Licks is long gone. But the big three in the cities were always Down in the Valley, Oar Folkjokeopus, and Electric Fetus, all three still grooving along from last century to this. Oar Folkjokeopus is reborn as Lucky Cat Records, and “What You Gonna Be?” is available in all the best local record stores. These stores are the “cool kids table” for nerds with rhythm and taste. You can feel yourself being scene just by walking in. I love being there and now, I’m truly there.

He likes to talk trash about John Munson, in jest, 2. He really does cut hair, and 3. He is truly a bona fide scenester, …and I am not. You can be cool too, get clipped while grooving to warm vinyl and “be scene”!
