Congratulations to Budy J. Garcia-Whitfield on being recognized with the MST “Whatever It Takes” Award!
This honor is awarded to members of the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) community who demonstrate exceptional dedication, service, and commitment to the youth, families, and colleagues they support.
Budy, JCCA's Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health Wellness, earned this recognition for going above and beyond to help a new MST team successfully relaunch, providing guidance, sharing critical knowledge, and offering hands-on support to ensure their success. Her willingness to invest her time and expertise exemplifies the very spirit of doing “whatever it takes.”
Multisystemic Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps youth with serious behavioral challenges by working closely with families, schools, peers, and communities. Budy’s leadership and commitment to strengthening these supports have made a meaningful difference for both families and fellow professionals.
We are incredibly proud of Budy and grateful for the passion, compassion, and dedication she brings to this work every day. Please join us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition!

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
This week, JCCA proudly hosted our 3rd Annual Color Run in honor of Pride Month.
Staff, youth, and supporters at our Pleasantville Cottage Campus came together for a fun-filled event celebrating love, inclusion, authenticity, and the strength of the LGBTQ+ community.
As the colors flew, so did our commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported for who they are. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this year's Color Run a vibrant celebration of Pride.

In a Foster Care Awareness Month op-ed published by New York Amsterdam News, JCCA's Program Coordinator Anthony Robinson reflects on his experience as a Black youth in New York City's foster care system and argues that conversations about foster care should focus not only on its challenges but also on the supports and relationships that help young people succeed.

I joined JCCA in celebrating the graduates of the Arches Program and recognizing the commitment they’ve made to themselves over the last several months.
I’ve been proud to support JCCA through discretionary funding and help invest in programming that creates structure, mentorship, and opportunity for young people in the Bronx. Seeing organizations like this put those resources to work in meaningful, hands-on ways that directly support youth in our communities makes those investments feel all the more worthwhile.
Congratulations to all of the graduates, and thank you to , the mentors, families, and everyone who continues to support this work every week. 🎓
