We got in the 2nd prototypes of our new Hiker and Chelsea Boots. Getting pretty close to the final style, working through some last minute changes before making samples. Keep following along as I bring them into production.
These boots will be available later this year, mostly likely late October.
I hosted two trunk shows recently, and I noticed something interesting about this style in particular. Maybe it wasn’t the first shoe people picked up—but once they put them on, the reaction was almost always immediate: “Wait… these are so comfortable.”
Something about them makes more sense on the body than on a shelf or in a photo online. The flexibility, the softness, the lightness. The way the last follows the natural shape of the foot. They just work with the way people actually move.
We sold several pairs over the two trunk shows, and seeing people try them on in person was oddly reaffirming. It reminded me of the original intention behind Soft Runner—a shoe designed to feel easy, natural, and genuinely good to wear. A feeling that’s embedded in the name itself.
Sometimes the best shoes aren’t the ones that are the loudest or the dressiest. They’re the ones you put on and suddenly can’t imagine taking off.
Soft Runner now comes with three lace options: the original ivory lace, plus two extra sporty laces that completely shift the feeling of the shoe depending on how you want to style it.
