Strange Delight

Some sad news:

We are suspending weekday cafe service for the time being as we think through our future with daytime programming. The realities of sustaining a second, materially different business out of Strange Delight were more difficult than we hoped, especially given a dip in traffic in an already very competitive environment.

The good news is we will still have a pastry program with all the cafe classics plus some new creations on the weekends, and we’re going to double down on our sweet program for brunch and dinner service. Plus, y’all know we love a daytime cafe pop-up every now and then so we’ll find some special ways to show up for you.

And last but not least, we’ll still be sending a selection of Amanda Perdomo items over to our friends Canyon Coffee on a recurring basis!

Thanks to everyone who showed up and supported over the last 9 months. The cafe may be gone on the weekdays for now, but we’ll never stop wishing you a good mornin’.

We installed a tv in the front room so that we can pay homage to godfather Chef Emeril J. Lagasse III while he, in return, keeps a watchful over us.

Secondary benefit is that we will be showing 🏀 🏀 tomorrow night (front room only); reservation gets you a seat for the night, po’boys, fries, a salad, and your first drink. Bar and kitchen will be open late for additional treats. Use the link in bio.

Cafe returns tomorrow and is open weekly weds to sun starting at 8 am.

**Specials rotate daily, so what you see here you may not see there, but there you will always see something sweet n special, so come on by and have yourself a good morning.

You can only get this blackened catfish tray with silky ham hock collards and red beans and rice during our weekend lunch hours! Saturday and Sundays from 11:30AM-3:15PM.

may be heading to beautiful nola but as a parting gift she has bequeathed us with the recipes for some of your favorites and her blessing to continue to serve them! the cafe will be evolving over the coming weeks and months, but these new classics, including our fave good morning bun, aren’t going anywhere!
