Last week marked the close of the Murrow Senior Art Show, Homage, a powerful exhibition showcasing the creativity, dedication, and artistic growth of graduating seniors.

Hosted by Boiler Gallery in Brooklyn and supported by ELM Foundation, the exhibition invited students to explore the idea of homage, honoring the people, cultures, histories, and artistic influences that have shaped their work and perspectives.

Congratulations to all of the student artists, educators, families, and supporters who helped make Homage such a memorable exhibition. Thank you to everyone who visited!

Music Technology students and alumni came together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Music Technology at Murrow last week. Attendees reconnected with former classmates, listened to music created throughout the program’s history, shared memories, and toured the studio spaces.

The celebration also included the unveiling of a new sign above the Music Tech Room, along with a special message from Chris Jackman of Levi’s, who helped launch the program in its early years.

The event also marked the official opening of Studio B, Music Technology’s second recording and production space. Featuring a sound booth, podcast table, music production workstations, and a DJ station, Studio B will support new creative opportunities and collaborations across Murrow High School.

Music Technology is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that provides students with hands-on experience in music production, recording, podcasting, and audio engineering, helping prepare them for both college and careers in the creative industries.
