What is SHROOM?

SHROOM is an urban mushroom farm in NYC nestled in the heart of Williamsburg Brooklyn. Here at SHROOM we have spent nearly 12 months designing a perfect blend of locally sourced organic substrates to create both a sustainable farming model and the exotic edible mushrooms that will grow on our exclusive substrate blends. And that is just where the magic begins.

Chef’s tell us that our first strain of cultivated mushrooms, Lion’s Mane or (hericium erinaceus) has always been a true unicorn of the edible mushroom kingdom. Known for its pom-pom like beauty, its exquisite and delicate flavor and healing and medicinal properties. Lion’s Mane has never regularly made it on to fine dining menus in our area due to its short shelf life and delicate nature. By cultivating locally we have no seasonal constraints, ensure our footprint is green and can offer same day delivery as harvest.
