Every stage is a chance to create a real moment.
Grateful to for the opportunity to be part of Show Us Whatcha Got at The Culture Lab and share my music in a space rooted in culture and community.
From speaking on mental health… to celebrating resilience… to honoring my mother through Stars in the Sky… this set was about connection.
Appreciate everyone who listened, engaged, and shared energy in the room.
More to come.

Grateful to for having me on Awakened Souls Podcast.
Jenney created space for a conversation that wasn’t about polished answers or quick soundbites, but real life.
We talked about grief, resilience, faith, rejection, music, and the moments that can change you forever.
I appreciate the opportunity to speak openly and connect with both our audiences through something honest and human.
If you’ve ever had to push through pain, rebuild after loss, or keep believing when life tested you, this conversation may resonate.
The full episode of Awakened Souls Podcast is available now. Click the link in my bio to listen to the full conversation.
Big love again to for the platform and the thoughtful conversation.

April 25, 2015.
Shared the stage with artists I respected long before I ever shared a bill with them.
At the time, it felt like a moment.
Looking back… it was bigger than I knew.
11 years later, still here, still building, still evolving.
Different mindset. Same fire.
Rest in peace to Angie Stone, a true pioneer whose impact still echoes.
This wasn’t the peak.
This was the foundation

I’m not even gonna lie… this wasn’t just a movie.
This felt like an event.
Sitting there watching Michael Jackson’s story play out on that screen… it hit different because this is where it started for me.
This is my introduction to music.
Before rap. Before writing. Before I even understood what artistry was.
Michael was the first time I saw what it meant to move people.
And then seeing his nephew Jaafar Jackson step into that role… I’m talking about the mannerisms, the energy, the presence… it wasn’t just acting. You could tell there was something deeper there. Even people close to the family said it felt like seeing Michael again.
And that’s what made the whole theater feel different. Packed. Locked in. Emotional.
Now here’s where it gets real.
Critics are calling the film “safe” and “sanitized,” saying it avoids certain parts of his life and doesn’t go deep enough.
But the fans?
Whole different conversation.
People are defending it, showing up, filling theaters, and focusing on what made Michael who he was… the music, the performance, the feeling.
I even saw people saying the critics aren’t really critiquing the film… they’re critiquing him.
“They’re not even critiquing the movie… they’re critiquing Michael Jackson as a human being.”
And honestly… that tension?
You can feel it watching the film.
Because the movie leans into the artistry.
The discipline.
The obsession with being great.
And that’s the part that hit me the most.
Standing in front of that image after…
I’m not looking at it like a fan.
I’m looking at it like someone who understands what it takes to even get close to that level.
This isn’t about copying Michael.
It’s about respecting the standard he set.
And realizing…
once you see it clearly, there’s no going back to playing small.
