Opera but make it drag.

On June 5, our roster artist Donatella Fermata brings OPERA HAUS to the Somerville Armory — an outrageous, hilarious, and gloriously campy night where local drag performers lip-sync to operatic “greatest hits” reimagined with parody, sparkle, and zero chill.

Featuring some of Boston’s fantastic opera singers alongside incredible drag artists, this Live Arts Boston-supported project celebrates the meeting point of opera and Q***r culture — welcoming new audiences into the classical music space while reminding all of us that opera can (and should) be wildly fun.

From our friends at Henry Purcell Society of Boston.

Friday, May 22 - Cabaret for Community

Local musicians are coming together for an evening of performance dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities.

Cabaret for Community features a wide-ranging lineup of artists, including countertenor Cody Bowers, violinist Susanna Ogata, and recorder players Daniel Meyers and Roy Sansom, alongside a Broadway-focused set with Emily Siar and Craig Juricka. The program also includes a special young artist from the Boston Arts Academy, Aviva Dias.

All performers are contributing their work to support a shared goal: to raise $6,000 and collect essential supplies for Compassion in Action and the PAIR Project (which provides free legal representation and advocacy for detained immigrants and asylum seekers). !00% of the proceeds goes to these groups.

It’s a chance to experience a wide spectrum of live performance while supporting a meaningful, community-driven effort.

Friday, May 22
7:00–9:00 PM
First Parish Lincoln, 14 Bedford Road, Lincoln, MA (Parish Hall).
