This morning I spoke to Frances Goldin in the elevator. She had just finished her book and was carrying a placard of the cover. I had seen her on multiple occasions walking into the building. She is a fragile woman, late in her life. She always wears a piece of faded fabric with the words "Tax the rich" safety pinned to the back of her coat. I held the door for her as she came in the building and she told me of her accomplishment with tears in her eyes. She said that they had mention her book on CNN last night.
