Last night we performed the East Coast Premiere of a full length concert work for choir, crystal bowls and cello ~ “From Wilderness” by ~ in collaboration with led by our brilliant friend ✨
It was an honor to be part of it. Bringing sound meditation and healing instruments to new audiences in new ways. What a gift to share this work alongside some of NYC’s finest musicians. So much gratitude for the immense power of music, community, and shared intention.

Below is a clip of a recent rehearsal. Click to hear a snippet of "Vision Chant" by Cree composer Andrew Balfour. Based on an Indigenous chant style, this work is striking for both its stillness and its intensity. The journey (or "babamadizwin") that is evoked begins and ends with a soprano melody, at first divided and then, symbolically perhaps, unified. What takes place in between these musical bookends is the vision itself. 🌀
What takes place after this piece is a celebration of the divine light that exists within each of us, connecting all of humanity. 🙏🏻
