(Feast Day, June 15)
Saint Vitus is honored as a young Christian martyr who remained faithful to Christ despite severe persecution during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. Tradition holds that he was only a teenager when he courageously refused to renounce his faith. His feast day is celebrated today, June 15.
Known for his steadfast devotion and courage, Saint Vitus became one of the most venerated saints of the early Church and is counted among the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Through the centuries, many faithful have sought his intercession in times of illness and hardship. His life serves as an inspiring witness to unwavering faith, even in the face of suffering and death.
Saint Vitus, pray for us!

๐บ๐ธ Happy Flag Day ๐บ๐ธ
On this Flag Day, we honor the American flag as a lasting symbol of freedom, sacrifice, and unity.
It reminds us of the courage of those who have defended our liberties and the values that have shaped our nation. In every season, it points us back to the truth that we are stronger when we stand together, one nation under God.
This Flag Day, let's honor those who have defended our freedoms, teach the next generation the meaning behind our nation's symbols, and give thanks for the blessings of liberty we enjoy as Americans.
โBlessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.โ โ Psalm 33:12 ๐บ๐ธ

*SAINT OF THE DAY*
*St. Anthony of Padua*
(Feastday:June 13)
Saint Anthony: Patron saint of lost items/things/articles
St. Anthony of Padua is one of the most famous disciples of St. Francis of Assisi. He was a famous preacher and worker of miracles. St. Anthony was born in Portugal, and when he grew up, he studied to be a priest.
He was a brilliant student and knew the Bible backward and forward. Someone once said that if all the Bibles in Europe were burned, it wouldn't be a terrible problem. People could just go to St. Anthony, and he could write the Scriptures down for them!
St.Anthony felt a strong desire to die for Christ and he joined the Franciscans. He went off to Africa to preach to the Moors but he soon became so sick that he had to return to Italy. One day, at a large gathering of priests, when the speaker failed to arrive, Anthony was forced to preach.
He preached such a marvelous sermon that everyone who heard him was most impressed. From then on, until he died nine years later, St. Anthony preached all over Italy and France.
St. Anthony died at Arcella, near Padua, Italy, when he was just thirty-six. After he died, people often prayed to St. Anthony in times of physical as well as spiritual needs and many miracles have taken place through the intercession of St. Anthony. That is why he is called the "wonder-worker."
The statue of St.Anthony shows him with Baby Jesus because Baby Jesus appeared to him. Other pictures show St. Anthony holding a bible. This is because he knew, loved and preached the Word of God so well.
336 years after his death, his body was found to be corrupted, yet his tongue was totally incorrupt, so perfect were the teachings that had been formed upon it.

โค๏ธโจ Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, one of the most significant festivals of the Catholic faith, which invites us to contemplate Christ's infinite, merciful and restorative love for all humanity.
This celebration has its origin in the revelations that Jesus made to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque in the seventeenth century, when he asked her to establish a special feast in honor of her Heart, promising abundant thanks to those who promoted this devotion and seek to repair the offences received by his love.
The Sacred Heart is the living symbol of God's love that never gets tired of waiting, forgiving and accompanying His children. Through the centuries, numerous saints, popes and communities have promoted this spirituality that continues to transform lives and strengthen the faith of millions of believers around the world.
From Blessed Pius IX, who officially established this feast for the whole Church in 1856, to Saint John Paul II, who established on this date the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests, devotion to the Heart of Jesus has occupied a central place in the life of the Church.
Recently, Pope Francis delved into this spiritual richness with his encyclical *Dilexit Nos* ("He Loved Us"), reminding us that in venerating the Heart of Christ we do not worship an isolated symbol, but Jesus Christ Himself, source of human and divine love, who lays down His life for our salvation.
On this special day, let us renew our trust in the Lord and open our hearts to His transforming love. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus reign in our families, communities and hearts, guiding us always in paths of faith, hope and charity.
๐โค๏ธ Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You!
