Remember me? Well I’m delighted to report that one of my very favorite New York City evenings, Mother Mondays, is happening March 30th at Superfine. My pal Julie DeLano curates it, and I would love for you to for the reading of comics by inspiring artists (including my other Pal Yoko O.K!) and the singing of meeeee! Coincidentally, March 30th marks the 10-year anniversary of my first record, Your Dying Wish Come True. What a lovely opportunity to sing some of those bangers in a place I love, with and among people I also happen to love very much. Maybe including..::you?

Friday, September 15th! It’s our big Back to Cool event at Francis Kite Club. Doors at 7, show at 8! $10 CHEAP! We have never done a just-us-3 show, and we plan on making it count. We’re talking new stuff, classics and surprises (Arthur Fonzarelli herself???). Please join us!
Remember Van? and I found him four days after we lost Dory in February. He’d been abandoned, tied to a planter on our block. With tons of help from , , , and he was adopted 3 1/2 weeks later. Larry was at a residency for most of that time, so Van and I had a super intense, deep and sweet time being roommates. Anyway, his very lovely mom and dad Claudia and Sohrab brought him over for a little reunion. It had been 5 months since we’d seen him, and we had the best time. Seeing him so confident, silly and healthy was overwhelming and beautiful. Not shown: He remembered Larry too and really let him know it! WE LOVE YOU, VAN! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Happy 85th, Georgie Andralis! How lucky for the world (especially me) that you were born. ❤️

I cannot stop thinking about this show. I’ve seen it twice and would see it every night and bring someone different that I love. Like every piece of art I love, it’s somehow about something so specific while also being about everything that matters- grief, love, silliness and rage that only someone who deeply loves the world and its people can feel. I NEEDED THIS and am so grateful it exists. Please go see it! Oh and thank you , and everybody responsible for this BEAUTY!

Hi! I have a new song coming out Thursday, called “Here, Bully.” I wrote it a couple months ago to try and pull myself out of what I have self-diagnosed to be AIRP, or Asshole-Induced Rage Paralysis, and it worked! In conclusion, f**k these f**kers. We can f**k them up if we fight relentlessly for one another. I myself will do so harnessing the rage, pain and love of this 6-year-old child. Link in bio! No Kings March this Saturday at 1. See you there!!!

Look what you almost missed! Were you aware that there’s a whole ass lyric video for my “hit” single “Worthy of You?” Don’t beat yourself up. It came out right this second. Did you know that himself made it? Pete wrote his memoir, There, about his family and how they became their family in 2000, when his now husband found an abandoned infant (who is now their wonderful son Kevin) in the ACE subway station on 14th and 8th. I still feel beyond honored he thought of me to write and record something, and I feel like I’m in his beautiful book and story when I watch the video. Link to the video in my bio and link to buy There in Pete’s! ❤️

Here’s me c. 1995 announcing I have a new song coming out TOMORROW. It’s about love, New York City, magic, and it wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for , his family and his soon-to-be released memoir, “There.” Plus playing everything! You’re going to love it very much.
