In trying to use only what’s in my stash, I’ve been making some play food for my daughter’s little kitchen. It’s been a lot of fun making these cookies and donuts! What should I make next?

Bunch of tiny Valentine hats ready to be sent to Project Sweet Peas for those sweet little NICU babies.
My own little Sweet Pea had a beautiful pink hat knit for her last year for her NICU stay, so I’m happy to be able to give back and forward.

I just finished this ginmorous afghan using the Caron Anniversary Cake in Prismatic. It’s like a weighted blanket! This was fun to work up and the yarn is so soft!

I know is over, but this little hat I made was too cute to not share. I’ll have to make a new one for Ripley next year since this will be far too small then!

When your nephew asks for a scarf…okay bud, no problem.
Then he pivots and asks if it can be half also…a little unorthodox, but let’s see what we can do.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I always love making gifts for people every year. This year, I have two nieces under 1.5 years, and the children’s pullover pattern from made the perfect gift for them! I used for the striping and then crocheted the names onto the fronts. The sweaters too big for the girls now, but I can’t wait to see them both grow into them!

The household is a spooky household. I could not wait to crochet Ripley her own Halloween stuff, especially this fun Candy Corn beanie! I promise she loves it- it’s just too early in the morning to smile!

🚨Rebranding Alert!🚨
After getting married and changing my last name in 2021, I quickly realized that the casual customer would not understand my business name of ChahanoStitch. While I was sad to see it go, I ended up holding onto the name because nothing else stuck.
This year, my crochet work changed. Instead of making quirky bags and amigurumi, I made several items for my daughter, Ripley. I made afghans, hats, stuffed animals, sweaters, and even her Christmas stocking. While I’ve always crocheted gifts for my friends’ babies, it was so much more special to crochet for my own.
So to play on some sewing terms, I’ve rebranded and would like to welcome you to . Enjoy the carousel of photos of some of Ripley’s first crocheted gifts, as well as her cute little face.
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨
After getting married in 2021, I realized that the name ChahanoStitch would not make as much sense to new customers. I held onto it while trying to discover a new name. However, I couldn't find anything that would stick.
This year, I gave birth to my daughter, Ripley. Very quickly, I realized that much of my crochet work began to revolve around her. She inspires me to try new patterns and projects.
So in honor of my muse; I give you: Rip Stitch. 💜
