Thank you for following us on this journey! As we move into a sabbath year, our social media accounts will be less active. However, stay tuned here, on our newsletter, and in the communications of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts for updates on the work of the Discernment Team and news about the future of Life Together. We are grateful for the many people, near and far, who have made this community a manifestation of God's love and God's dream for the world over the past 25 years. Thank you for your prayers as we look forward in hope toward whatever is next.

We noticed a small celebration was happening just outside this Friday morning...

Sam and Kelsey joined other staff of the Diocese of Massachusetts in cheering on the NBA champion during their duck boat rolling rally past the Cathedral Church of St. Paul this past Friday morning-- a true Boston experience to end Sam's Emmaus fellowship!

to a wonderful Disorientation Retreat last week! Highlights included powerful River Stories alongside laughter and play on Thursday. Friday was full of creative activities to share our gratitude with one another. It also featured our closing Eucharist and anointing with alumni the Rev. Dan Bell ('13-'15), which included a liturgy dissolving the call of Kelsey Rice Bogdan after eight years as our Executive Director.

And for those wondering about the outcome of our kickball game, Flip Your Lyd, captained by Prayer and Wellness Partner Lydia Strand, defeated Executive Director Kelsey Rice Bogdan's ButtKickers 9-2 with their rock solid defense and strong performance at the plate. Congratulations! (Though the real MVP and fan favorite was umpire/pitcher Hazel-Grace!)

Thank you to all our followers for supporting us throughout the year!

Several fellows and alumni from the past three cohorts gathered on Sunday with our partners at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Dorchester to celebrate the baptism of alumni, current site supervisor, and Discernment Team member Sandra Soto ('21-'23)! Congratulations, Sandra!

On Saturday, Life Together hosted Tracing the Journey, a celebration of 25 years of prayerful and prophetic leaders formed by Life Together and its predecessor program, The Micah Project. Friends and alumni through the years joined us for an afternoon of worship, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to this work. Highlights included toasts from alumni, a commissioning service for our new Discernment Team, and appreciation for our outgoing executive director, Kelsey Rice Bogdan. The celebration continued after the formal closing of the event at alumni Sandra Soto's ('21-'23) rooftop garden overlooking the city. Thank you to all who joined us!

Tracing the Journey is only two days away! We have one more to share of our alumni through the years, including soon-to-be alumni from the 2023-2024 cohort at last fall's Diocese of Massachusetts Annual Convention.

We hope to see you on June 1 to celebrate an incredible 25 year legacy, and launch the journey of the next 25 years of young adult leadership!

to last week’s Site Supervisor Appreciation Lunch! It was such a joy to have supervisors from our organizational partners with us The Family Van, , Church of Our Saviour Milton, MA Milton, Grace Episcopal Church Medford, and MIT’s Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life. As part of the program, Sam spoke about all the opportunities his supervisor at Grace had given him, while supervisor the Rev. Rachael Pettengill-Rasure (‘09-‘11 alumni) shared about Olivia’s good work at Church of Our Saviour.

Thank you to all our site supervisors for their mentorship and support throughout this year!

"We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker. We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own." --Fr. Ken Untener

Our last Racial Justice & Praxis Day was the perfect morning for getting the garden plot we share with our neighbors at St Mark’s Church ready! We’re grateful for the seeds of justice we planted this
year, and look forward to seeing how they grow. And after planting, we shared toasts of appreciation for one another and our year.
