this will be my last post from the counter intuitive facebook. i don't plan to use this page again. i will only be posting on instagram & twitter if you would like to continue following -

today is the 5 year anniversary of the label. we are celebrating by releasing our 57th album, for the boats by state lines. this is a reissue, the only prior pressing was alongside it's 2013 release. we pressed 1,000 copies on 12" and they are available on our webstore for free.

i've thought about what i want to say in a post that is meant to capture the importance of the community this label has brought me in the last 5 years of my life. it's simply too much to wrap my head around.

i wanted to go on & on about my times with prince daddy, all the bands i've toured with & gotten to play shows with. all the friends we've made from all corners of the globe. the random houses we stayed at. the crazy s**t we got into, good and bad, that changed our lives. but now i'm feeling like maybe i'll save all those stories for something else.

so i guess to wrap this up, i would like to say thank you to everyone who has ever supported this label, whether it was buying a record, seeing a show, streaming the songs, every single thing has added up to help create the community i am so proud to be a part of.

i'll leave you with my favorite part from track 4 on this record..

In 2015 we released our S/T record and put it on vinyl with Counter Intuitive Records. For the 5 year anniversary we are repressing the record as well as a one time 7” pressing of our original demos.
