Today, our team traded circuits for connection at the Brookdale senior living facility! From sharing our latest creations to hearing stories that inspired us, it was a day full of smiles, curiosity, and intergenerational magic.

Residents got hands-on with our bot, asked brilliant questions, and even shared ideas for future designs.We left with full hearts and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom and warmth of our elders.

THE DAY OF “OH NOS” & “ OH WOWS”

We thought it was going to be a smooth day, but boy were we wrong!

Here’s what didn’t go as planned:

- Driver’s hub went MIA (BIG THANKS to Team Hazmat and Team HAPA Bots for lending us yours!)
- Robot claw malfunctioned mid-match.
- Syntax Error! Not exactly what we wanted to see on the screen…
- Part of our code got erased... and we didn’t have a backup.
- Alliance robot malfunctioned (thanks for the drama, friends!)

Despite all the chaos, we still managed to pull off an amazing achievement:

WE WON 2ND PLACE FOR THE INSPIRE AWARD!

AND... we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE COMPETITION!

BUT WHAT WENT RIGHT?

Our team members were ROCKSTARS during judging! They were well-prepared to answer questions and showcased their knowledge and skills!

“Empowering the next gen of innovators! Our PackaPunch FTC team had an amazing time mentoring the FLL team at Milwaukee Montessori School yesterday! We guided grades 5-8 students in building basic block code and awesome Lego bots. But what truly impressed us was the exceptional conduct and teamwork displayed by our youth! Everyone was fully engaged, providing guidance and support to the FLL team in all aspects. We should all feel incredibly proud of how our kids conducted themselves today!
