The shop felt a little different yesterday.

Grill was going.
People gathered up for a bit.
Nothing fancy—just a good break in the day.

In this line of work, there’s always something to get done.
So when you can slow down for an hour, catch up with people, and just enjoy it a little—it matters.

Most students have never seen modern manufacturing from the inside.

Not really.

They may hear about it in class…
but stepping inside a real facility is something entirely different.

Recently, Trace-A-Matic welcomed local students through the Schools2Skills™ program organized by Waukesha County Business Alliance.

Programs like Schools2Skills connect students with local employers by giving them the chance to tour real workplaces and explore careers in fields like advanced manufacturing, engineering, machining, and technology.

During their visit, students toured our precision machining facility, met members of our team, and saw firsthand how modern manufacturing works—from engineering and CNC machining to inspection and quality control.

For many students, it’s their first look at what manufacturing actually looks like today.

Advanced equipment.
Skilled professionals.
Real-world problem solving.

And meaningful career opportunities right here in our community.

We’re proud to support programs like Schools2Skills that help students connect classroom learning with real career pathways in manufacturing and the skilled trades.
