Super Hollywood Field Day was so much fun! Our Mario-themed day was a blast!

Ms. Kwas' kindergarteners learned about Eric Carle and performed The Very Hungry Caterpillar for all of Hollywood School. They did an amazing job bringing the book to life!

Hollywood Huskies hit the zoo and had a blast! Our whole school field trip was so much fun!

Hollywood 2nd graders went to the zoo yesterday to release butterflies into a special habitat! What an amazing experience! 🦋

Hollywood 4th graders learned about the Ferris wheel at the Chicago World's Fair of 1893! The Ferris wheel owes its famous design to George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., a structural engineer who was born in Galesburg, Illinois. After learning more about the history of the Ferris wheel, we were inspired to try our hand at engineering our own Ferris wheel with a STEM challenge. Students applied their knowledge of wheels and axles to this STEM challenge!

Ahoy, Hollywood Huskies. Our school was commandeered by singing pirates this week! Our 4th and 5th graders did a fantastic job performing in Pirates! The Musical. Special thanks to Mr. Howes for all of his hard work.

The theme of May's Town Hall was gratitude. Hollywood students made a wonderful video showing gratitude for their teachers for the start of Teacher Appreciation Week. Since this was the last Town Hall for our graduating 5th graders, they made and passed down flowers to the 4th graders, who will be next year's school leaders.

Ms. Dryanski's 1st graders took a trip to the Field Museum. They had an amazing day learning and exploring and even got up close and personal with a replica of Sue's head! What a fantastic experience!

Kindergarteners had a blast celebrating Stuffie Day—sharing their favorite stuffed animals and bringing them to life through creative drawings!
