Our class of 2½-4 year olds has been busy learning letters and letter sounds to kick off the school year! 🍎📚
Before we jump into more traditional phonics instruction, we’re building a strong foundation of letter recognition and sound knowledge. These early skills help prepare little learners for the exciting next steps of blending sounds, reading words, and becoming confident readers.
At Linden Learning House, literacy learning starts early, but always in a way that’s engaging, developmentally appropriate, and made for little learners.

Montessori-inspired… with room for imagination.
Yesterday, I shared a little about what it means for Linden Learning House to be Montessori-inspired.
But there’s another part of our approach that I love just as much: imaginative play.
While traditional Montessori classrooms typically focus on real-life, purposeful activities rather than fantasy-based play, at LLH, we intentionally make room for both.
You’ll find play kitchens, dollhouses, trains, pretend play and plenty of opportunities for children to create their own little worlds.
Why?
Because imaginative play is incredibly valuable in early childhood. It helps children develop language, creativity, problem-solving and social-emotional skills. It gives them opportunities to practice sharing, negotiating, taking on different perspectives and making sense of the world around them.

We’re having the best time as we jump into the second week of school! Lots of play based learning, outdoor time, and fine motor skill practice. 🍎✏️🏡
It’s our last day of summer here at Linden Learning House! We can’t wait to welcome our students tomorrow morning 🍎

🍦 Pop Over!
We’re so excited to kick off the school year by bringing our Linden Learning House community together!
Current families, prospective families, and siblings are all invited to stop by for popsicles, play, and a chance to meet one another before the first day of school. It’s a relaxed way for children to make a few new friends, parents to connect, and for anyone considering Linden Learning House to see what our little community is all about.
