Warehouse complexity isn't slowing down, and neither is the push for smarter interoperability. Moderated by Brian Keiger of Conveyco Technologies, the MAG (Mobile Automation Group) Industry Group of MHI fireside chat brought together Andrew Greene (Seegrid), Dave Gustafson (SICK, Inc.), and Susanne Junghans (IDEALworks) to unpack VDA 5050 — the open-source interface making it possible for mobile robots from different vendors to operate as one cohesive fleet.

The panel covered how VDA 5050 is being put to work today to tackle real integration challenges, what true vendor freedom looks like when scaling a robot fleet, and why safety standards are the backbone of any automation system built to last.

TEAM BE BETTER; is trying to change that by offering no-cost, family-centered mental health consultations, education, and advocacy specifically for adolescents and young adults ages 13–25. No waitlists, no rigid scheduling, no guesswork. Just real support for families navigating one of the hardest things they'll ever face, with a special focus on student-athletes like Steve's son.

This week at SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, our VP of Engineering, Dennis Andre, experienced a truly full circle moment. As a high school student, Dennis competed in SkillsUSA's Automotive Service Technology division, winning the state competition in both his junior and senior years and advancing to the National Championships. That success earned him a scholarship to WyoTech, where he went on to earn his degree in automotive service technology.

Now, decades later, Dennis is back on the floor, this time representing Conveyco and helping inspire the next generation of competitors by showcasing the real-world opportunities that exist for skilled technical professionals. It is a privilege to have someone on our team whose own story is proof of what these programs can unlock. Yesterday morning, we gathered with fellow members of the Mobile Automation Group (MAG) Industry Group at the MHI Spring Meeting. The roundtable discussions were incredibly insightful, generating pivotal ideas and conversations to continue moving our industry group forward.

We were also proud to have our very own VP of Marketing, Devon Birch, present the marketing portion of the meeting in her role as Marketing Committee Chair.

Yesterday's Solutions Community Meeting did not disappoint. The Practitioner-Led Panel Discussion was a standout moment, hearing directly from experienced end users about their current priorities, lessons learned, and emerging needs across warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment operations was incredibly insightful and a great reminder of why these conversations matter.

Also, as proud members of the MAG (Mobile Automation Group) Industry Group of MHI, we're looking forward to Thursday morning's meeting and everything it has in store!
